The International Sales Meeting in Ziano di Fiemme, Italy was held at the end of May. What a beautiful place to go for a meeting. Amazing trail running and climbing and the food and wine was spectacular.

pretty cool feature. Going ski touring this morning. Hopefully we do not get blown away.
Back to the land of blogs! It has been abusy summer and spending more time indoors has motivated me to get back at this blog. The weather is amazing here in Boulder today and it is the ideal time to get out and do something. Have at it people.
We got a great slide show from Johnny Copp last week on his recent climb of a previously unclimbed peak in Pakistan with Micah Dash. Quite inspiring to say the least. if you are interested in the photos Johnny will be having a slide show at Sherpas tonight and one at Neptunes in the near future. Really good stuff.
Went and rode the Monarch Crest 2 weeks ago and had the time of my life. What a great day with leaves changing, cooler weather and 25+ miles of single track. They are threatening the closure of the Monarch rest trail so if you want to voice your opoinion go here: http://www.imba.com/news/action_alerts/08_07/08_09_divide_ban.html to save this
Oh the joys of spring! We biked in and climbed Mt Toll yesterday in great corn snow. Pics to follow from other peoples camera b/c my camera is broken already. GGGGGRRRRRR!
Skiied out to the Arestua Hut on Gwynn Mountain for a quick overnighter on Monday. Got to stop off and get a lap on the Lost Lake headwall in perfect spring corn conditions.

We casually made our way out to the hut as the sunny spring day was interupted by heavy snow showers. Beautiful Colorado spring time weather.

The hut is notoriously hard to find. I have been there four times before and I still could not remember exactly where it was.
Fired up the stove, got dinner ready and had a few libations before trying to sleep while the mice shot around the hut.
We woke up to about 10 inches of new snow. It was snowing hard and we had about a foot by the time we left the hut.
We got to the Lost Lake area and the there were about 50 mph winds. It was impossible to see the bowl so we opted to retreat to the resort and get some turns. We traversed in and found the lifts closed due to wind so we had to skin out to the cars
Interesting time at the Red Rock Rendezvous. What a great place for an event. I has a blast setting up and then climbing most of the time down there. Climbers really like to sit around and talk............and drink. The weather was absolutely perfect. Bonnie Springs did not fail to amaze me with it's David Lynch-esque feel. Got bouted on the really long routes that have cruxes at the top and failed to summit this thing due to missing the alarm and my shoes.
This is a great event and is an excellent venue for introducing people to the world of climbing.
